Max Keiser: Bitcoin Will Dominate, Head To 80% Market Share As Smaller Altcoins Will Die Out

  • Keiser is a popular crypto analyst who hosts a program called the ‘Keiser Report’ on Russian state-media channel RT.
  • He is well known for his crypto advocacy efforts as well his pro Bitcoin stance .

Former Wall Street honcho turned TV-analyst, Max Keiser, recently posted a tweet in which he claimed that BTCs dominance index was all set to reach the 80% mark in the near future. Not only that, as part of his predictions he also stated that most other altcoins would die out soon and thus it would be best if investors started to “rotate out of their other crypto assets and get into BTC”.

In this regard, it bears mentioning that a recent report released by the San Francisco Open Exchange (SFOX) also seems to suggest that while other smaller altcoins may die out in the coming years, Ether — the world’s second largest crypto by total market capitalization — will continue to flourish (primarily because of its massive correlation with BTC). The report states:

“This may support the idea that Ethereum is coming into its own as a blockchain that is publicly recognized as an asset on its own terms, much like Bitcoin. If this trend continues, it may become inappropriate to categorize Ethereum as an ‘altcoin’ on par with other cryptoassets that are not Bitcoin.”

Last week, Keiser claimed that with Bitcoin’s price movements looking bullish again, it would not be surprising to see the premier crypto asset surge past the $15,000 mark within the next 4-5 days.

As part of his analysis, Keiser also mentioned that the public's confidence in centralized governments and financial institutions was currently at an all time low.
