May The Best Win The Bitcoin Cash Hash War: Calvin Ayre Says He Will Work On BCH ABC If It Wins
The next Bitcoin Cash (BCH) hard fork scheduled for November 15, has created divisions among the BCH community. The BCH chain will split and there will be two proposals, Bitcoin ABC and Bitcoin SV.
Bitcoin ABS is being supported by Jihan Wu, CEO and Bitmain’s founder. Bitcoin SV is being supported by Craig Wright implementing the so call Satoshi’s Vision. Calvin Ayre, who runs CoinGeek, backs nChain and the implementation made by Craig Wright.
Nevertheless, Ayre said that he will be working in order to improve the whole ecosystem if ABC wins the ‘hash war.’
According to one of Ayre’s reporters, Eli Afram, says that a feud might begin between these two sides in order to fight for dominance on a blockchain using hash power as a primary weapon.
About it, Afram, commented:
“To find a victor early on and then move forward with building BCH to be a global currency. It is in part one of the reasons why Calvin Ayre referred to this possibility as market manipulation. I asked Calvin on his position should ABC win the hash battle, and he responded ‘If ABC wins, then I will follow and constantly work on striving to make future changes for better.’”
According to the Reddit user Jonald Fyokball, he cares about what’s the best for the whole Bitcoin Cash network. He showed also support for Bitcoin ABC and rejection for nChain’s attempt to ‘grab and intrusion into protocol decisions.’
The community seems to be divided and not in line with one of the two proposals made. Bitcoin ABC seems to have a larger support than Bitcoin SV, something that will be seen as soon as November 15.
Several exchanges and cryptocurrency platforms have already informed which path they will follow and how they are planning to offer services during and after the Bitcoin Cash network upgrade.
