Messaging Giant LINE Lists LINK On It’s Bitbox Cryptocurrency Exchange
LINE Corporation Lists It's Own Cryptocurrency LINK On Bitbox Exchange
LINE has listed its digital token Link (LN) on its cryptocurrency exchange Bitbox, making it available for trade via three digital tokens: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Tether (USDT). The Tokyo-based messaging platform called the launch as a milestone in its attempts to build its token economy whilst boosting Link's footprint in the marketplace.
“We're very pleased that users are now able to trade LINK on BITBOX, which is a major step forward in our plans for creating a token economy that rewards user participation,” said LINE CEO Takeshi Idezawa. Adding:
“We think it is important to promote co-creation and mutual growth with LINK, while ensuring BITBOX continues to develop as a user-friendly platform that adds value to those who use it and contribute to our services.”

LINE launched Bitbox in Singapore in July this year, offering more than 30 virtual currencies including Litecoin (LTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH). Operated by Singapore-based Line Tech Plus, the exchange supports 15 languages including Korean and English and is available globally, except Japan and the US. A minimum US $5 in floor value of Link, in trading fees, would be required to trade with the digital token on Bitbox.
To mark the launch of Link's listing, Line said it would hold several airdrop events starting with Tron, giving Link holders Tron based on the amount of Link they own. Tron depositors and traders also will receive Link airdrops.
Even TRON’s Justin Sun took to Twitter to announce this event and the airdrop. TRON (TRX) was listed on the LINE's BitBox back in August and saw a nice jump in price after the listing.
Glad to see more leading companies adopting #blockchain and its technologies! We welcome @LINE_Global's commitment and look forward to working closely with their team on further product integration. Enjoy $TRX airdrop on @bitbox_official! https://t.co/nreKPouUmT

As a key part of LINE's token economy is user grants and support, LINE intends to develop both online and offline channels where users can get rewarded and pay with LINK, including LINE’s diverse dApps in areas such as social, gaming and commerce. Already LINK traded or acquired from BITBOX can be also be used as payments or rewards for LINE's dApp services Wizball (a knowledge sharing platform) and 4CAST (a future prediction service).
