The ONT_Dev_Platform is an Ontology blockchain decentralized application product that is built on a cloud service. This cloud service includes Block Explorer, SmartX and the Ontology test environment. Interested individuals and developers can start using the dApp for free with just a few clicks.
This is very positive for Ontology and its network that is growing at very fast rates in a very competitive virtual currency market.
The Ontology Test Mode is a test environment for decentralized application development. SmartX is a one-stop IDE that can be used to compile, deploy and invoke smart contracts. Furthermore, the Ontology Block Explorer synchronizes local Ontology blockchain information that can be used to see information about blocks and transactions.
A short time ago, the China Center for Information and Industry Development (CCID) ranked Ontology as the fourth cryptocurrency asset in their latest Global Publick Blockchain Technology Assessment Index.
This index has been updated during the last months, starting in May 2018. The main intention behind this ranking is to list blockchain projects according to their creativity, applicability, and technology behind them.
Although this was an important announcement, the price of the Ontology (ONT) cryptocurrency did not experience gains in the last few hours. Indeed, since December 25, it dropped more than 30%. Furthermore, since the beginning of the year, it lost more than 93% of its value.
At the time of writing this article, Ontology is the 31st largest cryptocurrency. It has a market capitalization of $164 million and each coin can be purchased for $0.56.
