Microsoft Israel forms Blockchain Academy in partnership with Blockchain Israel
Recently, the Israel-based subsidiary of the Microsoft Corporation partnered with Blockchain Israel to form the Blockchain Academy. Blockchain Israel is a community that concerns itself with research and development in blockchain technology with an aim of positively impacting the local economy. The community, established by Yael Rozencwajg, has gained massive traction amongst Israeli crypto hobbyists.
The primary role of the newly formed Blockchain Academy is to educate business leaders and software developers on the concepts behind blockchain technology. Further details are elaborated in the roadmap of the academy. As per the event page, the academy will organize and hoist twelve meetings whose agenda will be fundamentals of blockchain technology. At the end of the convention, attendees are required to have an in-depth understanding of the tech, as well have the ability to conceptualize and developed its use cases in the real world.
The academy will be run by renowned blockchain technology experts who will teach company heads of technology, research and development leaders and software developers on how blockchain technology can transform the business sector. The Blockchain Academy will be located at the Microsoft StartHub in Tel Aviv. It is scheduled to start on Sunday, October 7, 2018. Up to 100 participants will be granted free access to this program.
According to Yael Rozencwajg, the academy will act as a hub where lecturers, partners and experts of blockchain technology come together to share knowledge and exchange ideas. On the other hand, Shira Fayans Birenbaum, the COO of Microsoft Israel, said that blockchain technology is the future of the business sector. She also likened the disruptive capabilities of blockchain technology to the early days of the internet and clad computing.
