Monero’s Riccardo Spagni Goes on the Offensive Towards Craig Wright and His BSV Findings

Fluffypony is one of the best-known figures in the crypto community, best known for his involvement in Monero. He generally stays away from online feuds and controversies, however, this time the founders of Bitcoin SV (BSV), especially Craig Wright and Calvin Ayre, managed to press his wrong buttons.

Most of the investors and crypto enthusiasts already know who is Craig S. Wright, the chief scientist a nChain and a figure in the crypto market. He has been a very controversial figure in the last years after participating in many different cryptocurrency projects in the market.

Several individuals have been targeted as Satoshi Nakamoto, but just Craig said that he is Mr. Nakamoto himself. After being inactive for several months, when his email got hacked, he returned claiming that he was Satoshi Nakamoto. Nevertheless, he didn’t prove his claims, even when he attempted to release crypto keys that were the ones created when Bitcoin was introduced.

He has been ridiculed for these claims from all over the crypto community, now even Spagni joins the list.

He even touched on the ‘anti-feminists’ allegations against Calvin Ayre, infamous online casino owner, and BSV supporter. In early 2012, a grand jury in Maryland indicted Ayre — featured once on the cover of Forbes and named one of People magazine’s hottest bachelors — and the three others with running an illegal gambling business and money laundering.

Ayre and his associates — James Philip, David Ferguson, and Derrick Maloney — are accused of moving $100 million from accounts in Switzerland, England, Malta, Canada and elsewhere to the U.S. accounts to pay winnings to gamblers, and another $42 million to pay for advertising. They were charged under the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006, which effectively banned Internet gambling in the U.S.
