Morgan Creek CEO Says Buzzphase ‘Censorship Resistance’ is Bitcoin’s Best Characteristic
The Co-founder and the CEO of the Morgan Creek, Mark Yusko had an interview with the Bitcoin Magazine NL, where he went ahead to speak about the influence of the geopolitics surrounding Bitcoin together with the crypto coins within the market.
All this is in regards to the censorship that is surrounding the crypto space.
Will political issues within a country affect the crypto space?
Different scenarios were played out for him like the case for Iran if it had control of about 20% of the Bitcoins that are in the market but had been sanctioned by the other countries around the globe, in such a situation would there be any political issues. Would there be any issues that could be associated with the crypto coins in the market in the near future?
The geopolitical challenges together with the existing relationships have been identified as a critical factor within the crypto ecosystem and the development of this space in the future.
And with the sanctions that are put in place are more of censorship, and the good news for the investors within this space is that the crypto coins are actually resistant to the censorships, this is according to Yuko. He went on to state:
“So, they provide a way for people who are being oppressed in some way whether it’s Venezuelan people, you know, by the Maduro regime stealing all the wealth and those people now say, ‘Local bitcoin is a way for me to actually have a store of value because my Bolivars are becoming worthless'”
As a result, it has proved that the crypto coins has become a very important aspect within the ecosystem as it will quickly bring investors, entrepreneurs and even different individuals around the globe to participate within this community.
As a result, we should see several creations and ideas of having more uses cases with the crypto coins.
