There is a Banknote in Brunei that is Worth 1 BTC
Bitcoin is expanding all over the world as a valuable virtual currency. It is very different from fiat currencies and it has usually a higher value than them (at least during the last months). But you can still buy a full Bitcoin with just one banknote. The problem is that it is not easy to have it!
The banknote that we are talking about is issued by Brunei, a small Asian country that heavily depends on natural gas and oil reserves. The banknote is known as the Adobe of Peace and it is currently worth over $7,500 similar to the price that Bitcoin had during the last years.
High denomination banknotes have been banned in most of the countries because of their relationship with illegal and criminal activities. They are easy to transport, use and everything without leaving any trace behind it.
The country has 0% debts and one of the highest GDP per capita in the world, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
At the moment of writing the article, Bitcoin is increasing in price 2.51% in the last 24 hours according to CoinMarketCap. At the same time, its market value reaches $130 billion dollars. But it is important to mention that since the beginning of the year, Bitcoin is in a bear trend, as well as other virtual currencies. There are just some few cases of currencies that did register good performances though.
It is not clear whether this banknote will increase its price or not in the future and if the relation with Bitcoin will continue, but as of today, you are still able to buy 1 BTC with just 1 banknote.
