The platform which was newly launched will go a long way in enabling holders of virtual works to digitally-fingerprint as well as timestamp their activities on the NEM blockchain. This will be instrumental in serving as a method of patent security for their activities.
Certification Of Intellectual Property Rights
David Oh, the CEO of Copyright Bank is of the view that the company is in the near future expecting to partner with RecordGram to certify that the intellectual property rights of creators of content are acknowledged. This will be implemented in the entertainment industry where several cases of infringement of patent rights are rampant.
According to Erik Mendelson, Tune Token’s CEO, the company is pleased to work with Copyright Bank. This is mainly due to the fact that they have a functioning product that permits users of the platform to record their tracks on the NEM blockchain. In his view, the music industry is facing a major challenge since many artists are being poor paid, as a result of poor patent recording.
Many artists all over the world now have the opportunity availed by Copyright Bank to ensure that their songwriter attribution is duly recorded on the NEM blockchain. Eventually, users of the platform will have a recognized and verifiable proof of possession.
