Nervos Blockchain Platform Set to Integrate Celer Network for Layered Distributed Ledger Adoption
Celer has announced a partnership with Nervos with an aim of increasing the adoption of layered blockchain technology.
Celer Network is a layer-2 solution that improves the scalability of blockchain networks. It works by facilitating off-chain transactions, thereby easing the load on the main blockchain network. Celer is continuously working to add more scaling methods on to its platform.
On the other hand, Nervos comprises a DApp platform and a blockchain protocol. Its base, known as Nervos CKB, is a public blockchain with a conceptual design similar to the Bitcoin protocol. Notably, the Nervos CKB blockchain is designed to work seamlessly with layer-2 solutions.
The partnership between Celer and Nervos will focus on three main areas, namely integration, research and education.
- Integration – developers from both sides will work together to integrate the Celer Network into the Nervos CKB blockchain network.
- Research –the teams will continue exploring ways of improving the cost-efficiency, privacy, security and user-friendliness of the resultant solution.
- Education – both partners will conduct an awareness campaign stressing the importance of using a layered blockchain architecture.
According to Mo Dong, a co-founder of Celer Network, the company was attracted by the optimization for layer-2 solutions on the Nervos CKB blockchain. Dong added that Celer will benefit greatly from Nervos’ cutting-edge infrastructure.
Jan Xie, a leading architect at Nervos, said that the company partnered Celer because of its unique scaling solution, as well as the efficiency of its service delivery. He added that Celer will improve scalability on the Nervos blockchain.
