NeuroChain Blockchain AI and Machine Learning Testnet Launches Ahead of the Awaited NeuroNet
NeuroChain, the next generation blockchain protocol that integrates machine learning and AI has recently launched its distributed network exclusively for trial. The set release date was planned for Wednesday, 31 October 2018 at 12:00 CET and as scheduled NeuroNet the preliminary launch did officially take place.
But what is the Testnet?
Before the launch of the NeuroNet, NeuroChain would like for both the developers and the general public to get to test the NeuroChain protocol. Therefore, the testnet acts as an alternative NeuroChain blockchain that will be put for trial, marking the first steps to a blockchain powered contract backed by Machine Learning and AI.
The Testnet will also act as NeuroChain's platform to release protocol upgrades and to test them before the main deployment to the main NeuroNet. The purpose would be to use the testnet to examine how an update affects the performance of the NeuroChain protocol regarding the consensus algorithm, scalability, functionality and security.
How it works
NeuroChain explains that the testnet will comprise 50 initial NeuroChain, with users having the capability to connect their Bots to the trial testnet. The Bots are said to communicate with each other to validate transactions through the Proof of Involvement and Integrity (PII) consensus protocol.
The protocol works under blocks, with each block making up 100 transactions within the network. A distributed ledger record validates these blocks every 15 seconds to confirm a transaction. Such a mechanism leaves the transfers open for public review any time necessary.
That will enable developers also to integrate smart applications to the testnet through an API. Concurrently, this will allow NeuroChain to test the functionality of its protocol updates alongside having developers test the intelligent business applications.
However, interested parties should be aware that NeuroChain only lists two methods on how a user can set up their Bot, connect to the testnet and make transactions. Users can opt to either install their bot through Docker or Ubuntu 18.04, with both giving the user access to their wallet and the block explorer. The launch of the Testnet by NeuroChain gives users and developers a three-month beta period to review if the protocol is worth it. Such a blockchain model indicates that NeuroChain favors quality instead of quantity. At the same time, the NeuroChain project would be implementing a transformation blockchain model that could overcome most of the significant bottlenecks experienced.
