Beta Testing to Start On September 20
Before now, it was announced that the beta testing of the platform was going to be available soon, it was just not revealed when exactly. Now, however, the users know the day that they can sign up for the platform. Beta testing will occur initially and the final launch has no date set yet, as there is a lot to be tweaked first.
On the new platform, the users will be able to pick their favorite pieces of content and to reward the creators using BTT tokens, so they can continue to produce content for them.
One of the main ideas of the platform is that most of the revenue should be kept with the streamers, which is something that does not happen on platforms such as YouTube now.
BitTorrent and Tron
BitTorrent, as you may know, is a part of the Tron Foundation now. Justin Sun, the owner of Tron, was acquired last year.
Before that, BitTorrent was already the largest P2P torrent network in the world and the company has been focused on growing and expanding even more now that it is owned by Tron.
