New Crypto Radar Poll: Bitcoin Survey Shows Only 5.3% Brits Own the BTC Cryptocurrency
A survey was conducted involving 2,500 Brits who fall in the age bracket of 18 to 65+ years shows quite interesting results. It was done by Crypto Radar, which is among the premier blogs for press releases and news related to crypto activities.
The survey aimed at 2,500 people, and they were asked what their stand on investing in Bitcoin was. Among the choices they had to select from…
- I do NOT own any. NOT Planning to buy any.
- Never heard of Bitcoin before.
- I do NOT own any. Planning to buy some.
- I own some. NOT planning to buy more.
- I own some. Planning to buy more.
The findings of the survey showed that 67.5% of UK citizens said they have never planned to purchase or own Bitcoin. However, the percentage went higher when it came to 65+ years’ individuals and stood at 76.2%.
Based on the turn out of the survey, uncertainties on Brexit have made British investors reluctant in selecting riskier investments like Bitcoin. That is because many still consider it to be so much more volatile and nascent. That is even more evident to the aging investors who are in their retirement years, and safe investment is crucial for them.
Interestingly, 20.3% of the respondents said they never heard about Bitcoin. When the study was categorized to the males between 25 to 34 years, the percentage went up to 25.5%. Having more than a quarter of the young population in the UK not aware of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin means that the crypto community should do something.
The results of the survey imply that the Bitcoin community ought to intensify training and awareness of cryptocurrencies to the young male investors, especially below 35 years. 6.8% of the respondents said they did not currently own Bitcoin, but plans were underway to get hold of the digital asset.
Overall, it was deduced that 5.3% of Britons own the digital asset, and the majority of the hodlers were investors in the age bracket 35 to 44 years.
