New EOS Digital Asset Standard Launches By Mythical Games, Currently In Beta As 12 Teams Partake
New EOS Digital Asset Standard Launched By Mythical Games
As per an all-new press release issued by Los Angeles-based Mythical Games earlier today, the firm has announced its decision to finally unveil a “closed alpha version” of its much-hyped dGoods standard.
For those of our readers who might not be aware of what dGoods is, it is essentially an all-new industry-wide initiative that looks to formalize the way in which digital items on the EOS (EOS) blockchain are maintained and stored.
To be a bit more specific, we can see that in order to formulate the above mentioned dGoods standard, Mythical Games has collaborated with the dev teams of a number of other established firms such as Scatter and EOS Lynx.
Not only that, some of the other companies that have also participated in dGoods’ development process include:
- Math Wallet
- ITAM Games
- NOVA Wallet
A Closer Look At The Subject
The end aim of this entire exercise is to help allow the aforementioned dev personnel to receive “hands-on experience with dGoods’ source-code as well as other technical nitty-gritty associated with the project”. Not only that, but it is also an excellent way for Mythical Games to check for any bugs or glitches which might end up affecting the public release of the protocol.
On the subject, Head of Blockchain Design and Development for Mythical Games ‘Rudy Koch’ was recently quoted as saying:
“With the release of our smart contract closed Alpha, we are excited to get the code into the hands of the development community. This initial release will only be shared within our core dGoods development teams. It’s an opportunity for us to continue to pressure test dGoods and ensure it achieves our goals. The closed Alpha represents a critical step in our roadmap towards maturing the implementation and taking dGoods to the mass market.”
