Demand For Blockchain Engineers Skyrocketing Across The Globe
There's no denying that blockchain technology is taking center stage steadily across the world. And now, according to a report by recruitment company Hired, the global demand for blockchain engineers is through the roof as it jumps up by 517% year-over-year.
High Demand From The Emerging Sector
Blockchain industry is on a high and the fact that global tech giants like Amazon, Facebook, Microsoft, and IBM are all showing interest with specialist advertisements from the sector, makes the demand for blockchain engineers skyrocket.
According to the report, it also notes that security engineering is the second-fastest growing software engineering recording 132% and embedded engineer taking third place with 76%. It doesn't require a rocket scientist to explain why security engineering is on a high as reports on cybersecurity have not ceased to be announced.
Also, the role of the blockchain engineer stayed on the top-three most-paid software engineering jobs according to the report. Blockchain engineering is on the top two most-paid in both London and New York, third in Toronto as well as San Francisco Bay area but first in Paris.
The highest salaries of $155,000 on average are on the San Francisco Bay area with Paris coming last and the blockchain engineer salary averaging $67,000. Per year, the average earnings for a blockchain engineer are between $150-175,000.
The blockchain job industry has been on an uptrend even though the cryptocurrency markets have not been that stable. The blockchain industry is growing, and hence the need for engineers in the industry is skyrocketing and probably will go even higher.
