Nomics

Nomics, found online at Nomics.com, is an informational website for the crypto community. Find out everything you need to know about the website today in our review.

What Is Nomics?

Nomics is a cryptocurrency market ranking website featuring market cap information, detailed charts, and other information for hundreds of cryptocurrencies.

The website’s homepage is similar to websites like CoinMarketCap.com. However, Nomics also offers additional services – like API access to its back-end, a podcast, and concierge data services.

As of April 2018, Nomics lists 450+ cryptocurrencies on its official website, including all of the top cryptocurrencies by market cap. Each cryptocurrency features at-a-glance information about its total market cap, its current price, its all time high, and 24 hour trading volume. You can view chart information by the day, week, month, or year.

Nomics also has a podcast called Flippening. That podcast is available on all major podcasting websites (Google Play, iTunes, etc.). It’s published every Thursday with information about the latest news from the world of cryptocurrencies. Nomics speaks with top analysts and technicians. They have roundtables with major crypto journalists and deep dives with crypto fund managers. There are also product announcements and unveilings from major crypto projects, discussions with crypto attorneys and regulators, and market overviews.

Nomics Crypto Market Caps, Prices & Charts Data Service & Products

The mission of Nomics is, according to the official website, “to grow the decentralized financial system by making it accessible, useful, and understandable to investors.”

With that goal in mind, Nomics offers two core products and services, including a back-end and a front-end product. They also offer concierge data services to institutional investors, which we’ll talk about further below.

Back-End Product

The Nomics back-end product aims to be the leading “data backbone” for professional cryptocurrency investors. The backbone will be accessible via an API as a service product. The core of the backbone includes the “Triple A” feature set, including Archives, Aggregates, and Analyses. These features will cover blockchain-based assets, off-chain assets, and other information relevant to cryptocurrency investors and traders.

Front-End Product

The Nomics front-end product is the informational website you see at Nomics.com. It’s designed, according to the official website, as the “Yahoo Finance for Cryptoasset Investors” while also being the internet’s homepage for bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies.

Nomics Concierge Data Services

Nomics also offers concierge data services. These services are designed for institutional investors, family offices, hedge funds, and private investment offices. These organizations might not have in-house development staff or the resources to investigate cryptocurrency assets.

Nomics has a project minimum of $10,000 for its concierge data services. Your service includes:

  • Strategy backtesting against the Nomics dataset of over 2 billion trades
  • Execution of rebalancing methodologies
  • Building and testing crypto financial models
  • Ongoing identification of arbitrage opportunities
  • Implementation of your indexing methodology
  • Finding time-delayed correlations among cryptocurrency assets
  • Customized, complex alerts and alerting

Who’s Behind Nomics?

Nomics is led by Clay Collins, CEO. He’s also the host of the Nomics Flippening podcast. The founding team includes Clay and the Nomics CTO, Nick Gauthier.

Prior to co-founding Nomics, Clay founded Leadpages, which eventually grew to 50,000 paying customers and 175 employees before being acquired by Drip, raising $38 million in venture capital financing in the process.

Nick, meanwhile, created MeetSpace, a video conferencing application for distributed teams, and Codeship prior to co-founding Nomics.
