Gemini Present At The Met Gala In New York

A few days ago we have written about the current giveaway that the Winklevoss twins announced on Twitter. The best picture showing Gemini’s Crypto Bus and other ads would receive 1 BTC from the brothers.

Users in different U.S. cities started participating in the campaign by taking pictures of Gemini’s ads in different places, including buses and taxis. However, one of the pictures captured the attention of many individuals in the crypto community. It is possible to see the Gemini logo on the top of a taxi being displayed in the middle of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian at the Met Gala after-party in New York. This is why Gemini shared the picture they were able to make of these two figures on Twitter.

The Winklevoss twins want to offer a regulated cryptocurrency platform for users to exchange digital currencies. The exchange has also received the BitLicense to operate in the U.S. state of New York, that has one of the hardest regulatory environments in the world for crypto and financial companies to settle their operations there.

At the time of writing this article, Gemini is the 79th largest digital currency exchange in terms of the trading volume. According to CoinMarketCap, Gemini handled $15 million in trading volume in the last 24 hours.
