OmiseGO CEO Sees Bright Future For Ethereum In The Next Two Years

Jun Hasegawa, which is the founder and CEO of OmiseGO, has recently foreseen that in 2020 the Ethereum blockchain will be massively scaled as people will start to use it more and that the future of Ethereum is bright in the coming years. OmiseGO is a billion dollar blockchain that works on top of the Ethereum network.

2020 Will Be A Key Year For the Ethereum Network

The executive has recently drawn a road map for the Ethereum blockchain on Twitter that goes from 2017 to 2020. According to him, 2017 was mostly a year of speculation, when a lot of Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) appeared and not a lot of them were fully successful, as some were scams and other were simply awful projects.

However, things are starting to change for the Ethereum network in 2018. With the ecosystem built and scaling solutions starting to real like Plasma, OmiseGO itself, Sharing and Casper, along with interchain protocols, now the Ethereum protocol is making real progress according to the OmiseGO top executive.

His prediction is that, after the technological developments of 2018, we will see real business adoption of the Ethereum technology in the market, more decentralized apps and UIUX tools. Finally, in 2020 the Ethereum will have a massively scale and it will start to be used by governments.

Jun’s OmiseGO Is A close Ally Of Vitalik’s Ethereum Network

Clearly, these predictions are very optimistic. That is not strange as Jun and Vitalik Buterin, the creator of the Ethereum Network, are friendly. OmiseGO, which is an Ethereum-based project that intends to bank the unbanked by offering mobile wallet solutions at high speed and low cost without barriers of entry is the only token officially backed by Buterin.

In November 2017, he stated that he advised the company and has also told his followers on Twitter that OmiseGO has one of the best business models in the blockchain market. He even appeared on the OmiseGO Ask Me Anything (AMA).

At the moment, the OmiseGO team is focused on integrating the Ethereum Plasma scaling solution with the platform. The project is also being developed by Plasma.
