Opera Crypto-Centric Web Browser Supports TRON (TRX) and TRC-Standard Tokens
TRON network is moving forward – no doubt – and this is since its mass adoption can be increased as Opera stated its support for TRON and its TRC-standard tokens.
Opera stands as one of the most used browsers in the world today; it emphasized that it is supporting blockchain Dapps by listing TRON in one of its web-crypto browsers. However, it is essential to know that this listing will allow the use of TRX tokens and TRC-Standard tokens.
Furthermore, this is exciting news for TRON community and its CEO Justin stated this with great delight as TRON gets listed in one of the mainstream browsers in the world:
“We are excited that Opera, a mainstream browser with hundreds of millions of users, will now seamlessly support TRX and other TRON tokens. Soon, Opera users will be able to use dapps on the TRON blockchain.”
It is essential to know that the Opera web browser is a prominent browser which now boasts of more than 300 million users. The browser achieved great strides in its support for blockchain as it developed a crypto wallet and Web 3.0 capabilities for its Android browser, it later expanded the project for IOS users.
is referred to as the term used to describe the evolution of a seamless, open and distributed web used to incorporate the use of blockchain and decentralized apps.
It is essential also to know that Opera aims to add multiple blockchains into this development, but want to start with the TRON ecosystem, then others will follow. TRON is now the other blockchain to be added by Opera; the first is Ethereum.
Opera talked to Hard Fork stating that,
“TRON is one of the fastest developing blockchains with plenty of dapps, so it’s a logical step as we aim at growing the usage and ecosystem for dapps.”
Nevertheless, the integration of multiple blockchains will allow millions of Opera users to play and enjoy TRON games and Dapps, without the use of third-party extensions or applications.
During a statement Krystian Kolondra, the EVP at Opera, Head of Browsers, added that lots of developments are coming up on the Web 3 to increase its mainstream adoption.
It is a little bit odd on why Opera supports TRON at the moment after the blockchain had small glitches and a bug that almost crashed its systems. Some reports also say that most of the activities that occur in the blockchain are due to gambling and risky applications. Hence, even with all of these glitches, TRON was recently named to be one of the fastest growing cryptocurrencies, and that’s why Opera decides to support the blockchain.
Opera has been a big supporter of the decentralized web; last year, the web browser included a new service that allows users in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark to purchase Ether through the Android version of its browser. It also explored – continues to explore – development of blockchain through its collaboration with Firm Ledger Capital – a blockchain advisory.
The web browser is looking for cryptos with use-cases, and in the meantime, it partnered with HTC to roll out a seamless wallet integration for Exodus 1.
