San Francisco’s First Blockchain Music Festival Already Has Tickets On Sale
Scheduled for this fall, the first blockchain music festival to be powered by the blockchain will be happening in San Francisco and already has its tickets for sale.
The Our Music Festival will happen on the San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza and it will be the first musical entertainment experience that will be able to process booking fees on a live blockchain app. The festival will use the OMF token and the Ethereum network.
At the moment, you can buy the pre-tickets for the event. They have the special price of $25 USD each and can be purchased directly from the site of the event, crypto.ourmusicfestival.com. You can use USD or cryptos (BTC, BCH, ETH and LTC). General tickets will start to be sold on August 3 with the price of $29 USD per ticket.
The Line-Up For The Show
Interested? The festival, which will feature electronic dance music, has already announced its starts: Zedd, 3LAU, Matt + Kim, Big Sean and the pop singer Charlotte Lawrence. The event will last one day from 5 to 11 PM on October 20.
The main artist will be 3LAU, whose real name is Justin Blau, he’s also part of the organization, which is made up of a team that is experienced in both music and cryptos from Creative Artists Agency, Paradigm Talent Agency, Spotify, Prime Social Group, Billboard, Singular DTC and CID Entertainment.
Blau has spoken to the media and told that he is working on this project since August last year. According to him, one of the main goals of Our Music Festival project is to build a use case for cryptos as a way to streamline the music market and get rid of the middlemen.
After seeing many vendors artificially increasing the price of music events, he decided that he had enough and started to create an event which he hopes that will help to stop these scams that take the profits off the musicians.
The goal of the event is to be decentralized from end to end and to give music to the public in a transparent way, as the tickets can be digitally verified and their price is optimized, something that could not be done without the blockchain technology, Blau believes.
Even if other digital services can be used to calculate prices, Blau states that they are often fraudulent and only the blockchain is transparent enough, which is part of the reason why the tickets are inexpensive.
Blau has also affirmed that the ticket holders will be able to buy into a tokenized system in which upgrades, concessions, rewards and merchandise can be digitally exchanged in a community.
