Waqar Zaka is a Pakistani VJ-turned-television host. Now he wants to launch a cryptocurrency to help Pakistan pay off its debts. It will be part of a tech-centric movement that will aim to amend the school education system, the space programme od the country and the finances of the nation.
On a morning show, he said:
“Since I am an engineering graduate from NED University of Engineering & Technology, I have come to realise that technology is the only way to pay back the debts of Pakistan. If Prime Minister Imran Khan launches Pakistan’s own cryptocurrency, our country will be able to get foreign investment from around the world to pay our debts.”
Waqar Zaka has also declared to lay down the foundation of his politic party on the basis of technological developments in the government departments as a means to end corruption and to overall elevate the standard of the infrastructure by introducing blockchain in the process which will mitigate the corruption at a higher rate.
He also stressed on the progress of the space program of Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), comparing it to its counterpart Indian Space Program, explaining how the right person in the right chair can propel the program into progress.
Waqar added that he has a team from NED, the National University of Science & Technology and other universities that will launch the cryptocurrency free-of-cost with zero investment.
Waqar Zaka further added that he would be making an appeal to the religious clerics for passing a fatwa in which he would ask them to make science and technology education a must at all the madrassas. He had worked in Syria and Burma and cite those experiences as the source of his inspiration.
He is certain that his movement could collect $4billion in a period of 6 months. He even said that if it fails to do so then he would never come again on any television screen.
