Polish Authorities Seize Over $10 Million Dollars From DasCoin Crypto MLM Scam
Polish authorities seized over 44 million PLN ($11.6 million dollars) from DasCoin, a Ponzi scheme company that scammed users with fraudulent investments. According to local reports, Ewa Bialik, a spokesperson of the National Public Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the recent seizure of these funds.
DasCoin was a cryptocurrency specifically launched to raise funds for the MLM company known as Net Leaders. However, the investigation related to this company started back in 2017 when regulatory authorities in the country raised alarms over both Net Leaders and the cryptocurrency DasCoin.
At the beginning of October, the criminal investigation was confirmed. The Central Bureau of Investigation of the National Police was in charge of the whole investigation. At the moment, the office continues to work in order to find those behind the scam and the Ponzi scheme. Additionally, the Bureau is looking into violations of the Polish Criminal Code and are also filing the correct charges.
At the moment, there is no information about what will happen with the $11.6 million dollars seized or with the founders and promoters of Net Leaders and DasCoin.
