Prominent AlphaPoint Employee Joins Crypto Custody Provider Casa To Focus On Bitcoin Full-Time
Early AlphaPoint Employee Joins Crypto Custody Provider Casa
Michael Haley, one of the earliest employees of AlphaPoint, an enterprise blockchain startup, has decided to switch companies and now he will be working at the crypto custody provider Casa. According to Coindesk, he left his job at AlphaPoint in November and started working in the other company soon.
Haley was a Bitcoin investor for a long time now and he often participated in community meetups and online discussions going as far as 2014. He told Coindesk that now is the perfect time to get back into “good old Bitcoin”.
He was inspired by the Lightning Network and several other trends in the market which made now one of the best times to invest in Bitcoin or work with the asset again. According to him, the bear market is certainly one of the most exciting times to be working with this technology because prices are low and there is plenty to grow.
Also, he complimented the culture of Bitcoin now, saying that it is “totally different” and that it is very centered in the developers, which makes this a very special time to working with Bitcoin again.
In his new work in Casa, Haley will be the product experience lead. His job will be to take care of new clients getting in the company and make sure that the product is up to their needs and expectations. He affirmed that the company makes wallets which are designed for people who want to hold large amounts of Bitcoin, so they need the instructions in order to make the best of this experience.
According to Haley, it is a system that is not designed for money getting in and out every day. The Casa wallet is more like a system that is designed to store huge amounts of Bitcoin and that the stakes are very hard, so it is important to make the clients feel safe at all times.
Haley In AlphaPoint
Michael Haley joined AlphaPoint in 2015. There, his main function was to help clients to launch their trading platforms. He said that he loved to work there and was happy with the projects, but it was the time to leave and find other jobs.
According to him, the security token space, which uses private blockchains, is getting a lot of attention, but he really wanted to work with public blockchains again, which is where the most interesting innovations are happening now, according to him.
AlphaPoint did not comment on Haley’s departure on the company, it only noted that Asha Daskshinamoorthy has filled his position last month. He worked in ConsenSys before and at Deloitte before.
