Reddit Thread Echos Strong Sentiment of Tron Community Feeling Scammed by The TRX Project
There are several projects in the cryptocurrency market that are gathering the attention of many investors and individuals. Tron (TRX) is one of them that with the leadership of Justin Sun, its founder, is moving forward in the market.
Nonetheless, there are some users that feel scammed by the whole project.
Tron Community Feels Scammed
Tron is a blockchain network that wants to surpass Ethereum and become the future platform for decentralized applications (dApps). Indeed, many dApps have been launched and there have been many projects that have already partnered with Tron, including Tether (USDT).
Nonetheless, there are some users that are already complaining about some issues with the project. One of them is the Redditor called Poldi-1. He explained that he feels that he was scammed by the TRX project after the latest troubles experienced with the TRX token swap.
In this post, Poldi-1 mentioned that he felt scammed by the TRX project because he had some troubles with the TRX token migration. He says that he heard about the mainnet swap and he created an account on the Tron.Network wallet and received a 2FA backup code but no private seed.
The user decided to purchase TRX on an exchange and send them to the Tron.Network wallet. However, the Tron Network wallet did not migrate the tokens for him. When he entered the wallet a few weeks ago, he received a message in which they explained that he missed the deadline to perform the token swap. Thus, his TRX vanished forever after the token swap that the network performed.
Clearly, users should know that they handle their digital assets and they need to take care of them with special care. Nevertheless, the Tron project is still being developed and it remains quite centralized compared to Bitcoin (BTC) or other networks in the market. Users should always take responsibility for their assets and be sure that their digital assets are always safe.
This post on Reddit received 85% positive votes after being added on April 20. This shows that token swaps tend to be negative for crypto users and individuals in the space.
Indeed, the Redditor HODL_monk mentioned about them:
“These mainnet swaps are one of the worst things in crypto. You have to put them in on time, and then take them out on time, or they just vanish, but sometimes people are not paying attention to this or that fantasy internet money, and it just goes proof on them. “
Users should be very careful when handling their digital assets and avoid having issues with their assets. Clearly, the largest and oldest coins in the market represent the most secure investments, even when their returns in the future might be smaller.
However, it is possible to be sure that there will be fewer issues with their funds in case something happens.
