Ripple Backed Forte Onboard 5 Gaming Devs To Bolster Blockchain For Better Experiences

  • Ripple backed Forte lab has announced a partnership with five-game developers that will see their Blockchain Technology accelerated uptake in the gaming industry.
  • Both Ripple and Forte labs have vested interests in the gaming space.

There have been reports of a partnership between Ripple backed Forte labs and five-game developer companies. Forte labs a Blockchain company with special interests in the gaming realm. This is aligned to Forte Lab's objective of incorporating Blockchain in gaming space to provide seamless gaming experiences.

Forte has announced US-based Hi-Rez Studios, nWay, Netmarble arguably the biggest gaming developers in South Korea, Magmic located in Canada, and German DECA Games have joined their fold. They will join a larger group of gaming developers that were recruited earlier by Forte labs: Disruptor Beam, Other Ocean, and Kongregate.

The alliance will see the developers implement Forte Labs Blockchain technologies to their respective games. The technology will mostly be integrated for validations of the game assets and even characters issued through reward incentives or in-app purchases.

Representatives from Forte Labs, however, seem to share the sentiment that blockchain technology is insufficient on its own, adding that gamers' input would be instrumental in realizing the pros of blockchain. This is could only be bridged by onboarding gaming developers in the systemic process.

“As experts of their craft, they will elevate modern games from pure entertainment experiences, to ones that will take on a new relevance in players’ lives through community economics.”

According to Kaiser Hwang, Forte’s VP of Marketing highlighted that the strategic partnership would offer gamers a unique opportunity to afford them to securely trade with each other, own in-game assets and even get extra by playing with other gamers.

“The technology offers ways to address many economic issues found in the games industry today by unlocking more equitable and sustainable business models.”

Partnership with Ripple

Forte Labs top brass offered an insight into the striking partnership between them and Ripple explaining that both companies are enthusiastic about the gaming industry. Adding further that by taking advantage of Ripple’s Interledger protocol they are able to provide seamless cross-chain transactions on their Forte Labs platform.

Notably, Forte Labs backed a $100 million initiative for gaming developers in conjunction with Xpring. This was seen as a solution to bolster uptake of Blockchain technology in the gaming realm.
