Ripple (XRP), one of the most important virtual currencies in the market, is being used by several companies all over the world. Now, Ripple has announced that it will be launching a new investment initiative for companies that use the XRP token – which has been developed for fast transactions and low fees. The program is called Xpring, and it will provide grants to companies and other projects.
Xpring – Ripple Incubator Program
According to a report released by Ripple on May the 14th, the company will be working with entrepreneurs making sure that they have the key essentials to grow their business and prosper.
The press release reads as follows:
“Today we are announcing Xpring (pronounced Spring). Xpring is a new initiative by Ripple that will invest in, incubate, acquire and provide grants to companies and projects run by proven entrepreneurs. Every entrepreneur will use the digital asset XRP and the XRP Ledger, the open sourced, decentralized technology behind XRP, to solve their customer’s problems in a transformative way.”
The intention is to provide support to enterprises working with Ripple’s products and XRP. Some entrepreneurs and developers claim that they would like to have support from the XRP team to move forward with their projects.
Ethan Beard will be the Senior Vice President in charge of Xpring and Ripple’s developer program. Mr. Ethan served as Director of the Facebook Developer Network from 2009-2012, where he oversaw worldwide developer relations, operations and other products for the Facebook API.
