Ripple’s SWELL 2018 Event Could Spark XRP Coin Bull Run with Expected Announcements
SWELL 2018 Could Be The Cause Of Ripple’s XRP Rise
Ripple’s XRP is the third largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization with a market cap of $12,244,178,527, a trading volume of $393,555,228. Its price is currently at $0.307573. XRP is one crypto that has had astounding ups and downs during its existence but it has been an interesting journey so far.
Last year, 2017, the Swell event was successfully held in Toronto between the 16th and 18th of October. It brought together leaders in banking and blockchain who are committed to changing the way the world moves money today. This year it will be held in San Francisco, California, the home of Ripple’s headquarters between the 1st and 2nd of October. This time it aims to connect the world’s leading experts on policy, payments and technology for the most provocative dialogue in global payments today.
Former president, Bill Clinton will be the keynote speaker at the event and academy award nominated, Counting Crows will be present to perform during the customer celebrations. Attendance is by invitation only. Ripple is also expected to surprise the community with big announcements.
The xRapid Solution
Ripple has built the greatest relationship with the financial sector, especially, with central and commercial banks but, these alliances have been made mostly through xVia and xCurrent, solutions that have no relation with the XRP token.
xVia enables payment originators and corporates to access the power of RippleNet, with a single, standardized API that provides a frictionless experience to communicate with banking partners and its simple API requires no software installation allowing users to seamlessly send payments globally with transparency into the payment status and with rich information attached.
xCurrent is Ripple's enterprise software solution that enables banks to instantly settle cross-border payments with end-to-end tracking. Banks are able to message each other in real-time to confirm payment details prior to initiating the transaction and to confirm delivery once it settles.
Many have been wondering at what point in time will xRapid, which is the only of the three Ripple product that actually uses XRP, come into play. Finally, xRapid has passed the beta tests and is now ready to be introduced to financial institutions.
On 13th September, Ripple announced its strategic partnership with the National Commercial Bank (NCB) of the Kingdom Saudi Arabia (KSA), one of the biggest markets for remittance services in the whole world and it will test xRapid as a cross-border payment solution. Mercuryfx, a cost-effective alternative for receiving and sending international currencies, and the State Bank of India (SBI) are already testing the solution that integrates the XRP token.
With these latest improvements we it is expected that Ripple will announce which other financial institutions are trying out xRapid already and what approaches have been made with relation to this.
