Ripple’s Swell 2019 Update: Former IMF Chief Economist And Governor Of India’s Central Bank Announced As Keynote Speaker
Ripple’s Swell 2019 event is getting ready to be started in November on 7th and 8th. The event is known for bringing together the trusted voice across financial services, payments, technology, and policy to share what’s unfolding in global payments.
In this two-day event, topics to be covered are emerging big tech in payments, global payments that finally work, mobile wallets: leapfrogging credit and banking, a policy debate on when will digital assets go mainstream, and a panel on remitters and what they really want.
The latest update about this event is the announcement of the keynote speakers. Dr. Raghuram Rajan, who served as the 23rd Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (BBI) from 2013 to 2016 and also as the Chief Economist and Director of Research at the IMF from 2003 to 2006 is one of the speakers.
“Dr. Rajan is considered a key visionary behind India’s early adoption of mobile banking.”
Kamal Quadir, CEO of bKash, a mobile money service in Bangladesh, is the other speaker. Ripple and XRP community is excited about the event that marked the release of xRapid, Ripple’s XRP-powered product that offers on-demand liquidity to banks and financial institutions.
It would be interesting to see what new Ripple has to reveal about its products ad partners this time. Stay tuned to get every update about Ripple’s 2019 Swell event.
