Roger Ver Believes Cryptocurrency’s Outlook is in for a Bright and Long Future Despite Bitcoin Blues
Roger Ver Believes That Crypto Is in For a Bright and Long Future
Nearly every person in the cryptocurrency industry knows Roger Ver’s name. Even though there are plenty of people with mixed opinions about how likable he is, it is clear that he’s played a significant role in the widespread adoption of crypto. The Bitcoin.com CEO was as recently interviewed by Bloomberg, leading him to voice his optimistic view of the future of cryptocurrency.
During the interview, he was asked about the lifespan of cryptocurrency and its lasting effects. Ver put it simply, saying that “long-term, the future is brighter than ever” for the digital assets. He believes that the increased awareness and adoption are helping to catapult crypto into multiple use cases around the world.
Individuals that don’t hold as positive of a view of cryptocurrency try to link it to an abundance of cybercrimes, daring to call these assets no more than a Ponzi scheme. They tend to bring to light the millions of dollars stolen through security breaches as well. However, Ver believes that these anecdotes are, at most,
“bullish signals that cryptocurrency is here to stay and here for the long-term.”
“If anything I think it’s brought additional awareness to the ecosystem in the fact that such big players are involved. The fact that hackers are trying to hack it shows it’s worth something. If it wasn’t worth anything, it wasn’t useful, hackers wouldn’t be wasting their time trying to hack it. I’m incredibly bullish on the entire crypto coin ecosystem, and Bitcoin Cash specifically.”
Part of the interview dwelled on this bad reputation that cryptocurrency seems to have, and Ver commented that the key is the support of other influencers and businesses in the space. These entities “need to build an economy based on actually using cryptocurrencies as currencies rather than just a bunch of speculators speculating,” he commented. These efforts have been what’s been driving Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV from the start.
