Romanian Car Dealer West Oradea Group Now Accepts Bitcoin Payments via Netopia Mobilepay
- As we move into the future, many experts predict that more and more merchants will continue to adopt cryptocurrencies as a legitimate means of payment for their goods and purchases.
- In the wake of countries like Venezuela, Iran being faced with intense inflation related issues, it is being projected that crypto-assets such as BTC, ETH will continue to gain popularity within such nations.
As per an all new report released earlier today, a major European car dealership — The West Oradea Group — has announced its decision to adopt Bitcoin [BTC] so as to make it easier for its clients to facilitate their payments. Additionally, it is also worth pointing out that this entire development has become possible because of “Netopia” — a popular Romanian payments processor.
According to a statement released by Székely Adam — Exec. Manager at West Oradea Group — her company has been keen on using altcoins since 2015 (with the firm even having flirted with the idea in the past.)
In relation to this entire development, she was quoted as saying:
“In 2015 we found out about Bitcoin and Blockchain. I was amazed at the simplicity and confidence generated by this new ecosystem, “
Székely believes that by adopting Bitcoin, her company will be able to make the process of payment much more streamlined for its clients.
Over the past 12-24 months, more and more people living in Romania seem to have become interested in cryptocurrencies such as ETH, BTC, BCH.
It is worth pointing out that there currently exist a plethora of Bitcoin ATMs (100+) as well as mining farms within the east-European nation. Not only that, at press time, there are more than 40 merchants who accept various crypto-assets within Romania’s borders.
With each passing day, cryptocurrencies seem to be gaining more and more popularity — especially within unique domains such as salary payments, flight bookings etc. This is because altcoins can be used to facilitate voluminous tx’s from any part of the world without any restrictions (such as high processing charges).
West Oradea Group currently deals vehicles that have been manufactured by BMW and Opel (in addition to selling motorcycles, vans and other associated accessories). It now remains to be seen, what implications this latest move will have over the Romanian crypto industry.
