Samsung’s Galaxy S20 Will Feature A New Processor To Protect Blockchain Private Keys
Samsung Electronics announced support for blockchain private keys on their flagship phone, Samsung Galaxy S20 set to launch on the first week of March 2020. According to the official release, the high end S20 phone will keep its support of ERC20 tokens, Bitcoin (BTC) and Tron (TRX).

In the unveiling of the Galaxy S20 one factor was key to the cryptocurrency community, the blockchain private keys and wallets introduced on the Galaxy S10 model, two years ago. The tech giant Samsung confirmed the new flagship phone will provides their users with a “secure processor dedicated to protecting your PIN, password, pattern and Blockchain Private Key.”
In a comprehensive unveiling, more was talked about on the new camera specifications and the technical aspects with only a line attributed to its blockchain development. It is however a key point to focus on with the new model following in the steps of previous high end models.
A legacy of Samsung in cryptocurrencies
One of the top smartphone manufacturers, Samsung, is aiming to boost the adoption and security of blockchains across the world by providing first time users with a fully backed blockchain private key. Launching its first crypto wallet smartphone in March of 2018, Samsung only allowed storage of ERC20 tokens adding on Bitcoin (BTC) and Tron (TRX) integrations later.
The company is focused on improving on blockchain and cryptocurrency adoption globally offering developers and users platforms to develop dapps. Moreover, the company is also in the venture capital business giving capital and mentoring to different blockchain startups. The tech company participated in Alchemy’s $15 million USD raised in December of 2019 to build development tool kits for the company.
