Sources Whisper Brave Web Browser Is Ready To Attract $30 Million In Funding Round
The recognized and popular web browser Brave could be trying to gather a larger amount of funds in the near future. The firm has already launched $35 million in less than a minute in 2017 but the intention is to keep expanding and growing with more funding.
The cryptocurrency market is starting to expand and grow once again after a year-long bear market in 2018. Now that the sentiment is very positive, Brave could be searching to raise more funds and develop its company.
According to some sources close to the matter, the privacy-centric internet browser is raising a Series A equity round. During a conversation with CoinDesk, the sources explained that the firm is trying to gather between $30 and $50 million at a valuation of around $133 million.
The company was able to gather $4.5 million seed round from firms such as Pantera Capital, Founders Fund and also Digital Currency Group. The firm was able to block ads that were displayed to users. Apparently, the money that they gathered is not enough to keep expanding and offering users better services.
In addition to it, Brave has already partnered with different companies, including HTC and TAP Network. The intention is to reach a large number of users that would be integrated into the crypto and blockchain space in a very easy and seamless way.
