South Korean District Forms Blockchain ‘Proposal Evaluation System’ For Transparency
Based on a press release regarding South Korea’s government, it has been revealed that one of its district, namely, Yeongdeungpo-gu, has implemented an innovative, proposal process for administrative purposes. Most importantly, the use of blockchain technology is what makes this far more interesting. In particular, the intentions behind its creation flourished due to the lack of transparent and reliable procedures.
As per the reporting, it appears that additional steps have been taken to make the entire evaluation process one complete of efficiency and security. It has been shared that as the evaluation committee works their way towards digitally processing their choices, the results will then go live on their respective webpage at the same time. This step was done to show “real-time” results, which will rid the system of doubts.
A representative of the Yeongdeungpo-gu Office expressed that this new operation can possibly heighten “the integrity and reliability of the city,” calling blockchain technology one of “the fourth industrial revolution.”
South Korea has been gradually making their way into the crypto sphere through their ongoing interest in the blockchain technology. Efforts have supposedly been in place to welcome blockchain-based businesses into the country. Will South Korea’s attempt to include blockchain into the city’s administration prosper?
