According to data collected by SpringRole, the current system of staffing and hiring is laden with problems that prevent the most qualified candidates from landing the best positions, and prevents companies from getting the best skills and talents for the available roles in their institutions.
The data showed that roughly 53 per cent of all job applications today contain significant inaccurate information, and that about a third of all jobs are filled through referrals within small networks. This is a problem because candidates receive information about a job opening based on how reputable they are within their networks – it has nothing to do with how qualified they are. SpringRole has the perfect tool to put an end questionable recruitment and inefficient hiring processes.
How SpringRole Works
As a crowdsourcing recruiting platform on which individuals can easily and quickly earn token rewards, SpringRole is hoping to become a go-to hiring source for entrepreneurs and companies, and a platform to land dream job for skilled professionals. To use the platform, a job seeker simply creates a certified CV and places it on the blockchain to be accessed by and used by other members on the platform.
The user creates a profile that details the individual’s academic qualifications such as diplomas, professional experience, and proven skills. Users who are referred by other platform users will be able to apply for openings presented to them by the advanced algorithm that matches skills, professionals, and qualifications with available job openings.
Educational qualifications and work experience details are verified by the educational institutions and the companies the user attended and worked for respectively. After the one-time details verification, the user’s details are added on the SpringRole blockchain and can be accessed or used at any time. Skills are ‘endorsed’ by platform users. The user’s skills are measured against the skill level of the endorsee then assigned a value. After skillsets verification and endorsement, the changes will only be added on to the block after the data are accepted by both the sender and the receiver.
SpringRole issues tokens called Spring Tokens to the users on its platform. This is an Ethereum ERC-20 token that acts as the fuel that drivers and powers the SpringRole blockchain platform. Each action on the SpringRole platform leads to the generation of a SPRING token which can be used in various ways on the platform including referring an individual or institution to the community, endorsing a user’s skillset, and when submitting institutional profiles for validation.
During their upcoming ICO, SpringRole has organized an airdrop of the SPRING tokens during which members who register with an email address and provide their public ETH address will receive 100 SPRING tokens.
SpringRole hopes to reduce the average job interview period from the current 22.9 days to merely hours, eliminate the cost incurred in traditional hiring processes, and the losses resulting from bad hiring processes. SpringRole is on a mission to ensure there is transparency and efficiency in the recruitment process and they hope to bring all the benefits of blockchain to the job placement
