Stellar-based Nodle Cash App Goes Live on iOS; Users Earn Tokens For Sharing IoT Data

An app available in the Apple’s App Store allows its users to earn a Stellar-based token if they provide last-mile access for internet-of-things (IoT) devices. Here’s what Micha Benoliel, Nodle’s CEO, said about the Nodle app that is now live on Android too:

“The Nodle Cash app for iOS has been in development for the last six months. We believe Nodle is truly for everyone.”

The NODLE Token Has a Very High Transaction Volume

Nodle claims it processes 1 million micropayments on average every day, which means the NODLE token has a high transaction volume. While the newly launched app truly delivers as far as the decentralized web goes, the NODLE token is not listed with any exchange, which means it doesn’t have any value for now. It can only be used to trade peer-to-peer. Benoliel says that:

“We believe the value of the coin will be directly supported by the demand for the network and its services. The only way to get Nodle Cash today is to generate it on your phone.”

Nodle Entering the Same Space as Helium

Nodle and Helium, the famous IoT network, are pretty much operating in the same space, only Helium has expensive hardware devices. Nodle runs on devices users already own, in a limited range though. The Helium node uses longfi technology, whereas the company says only a few of its nodes can cover most cities in the US. It can be said there’s a lot of room for last-mile data solutions in the country, seeing devices’ numbers are increasing. When it comes to how Nodle works, Benoliel explained:

“When smartphones connect back to cellular or WiFi, the data from these sensors gets pushed to the cloud using the Nodle Cash app as a relay.”

Nodle Perfect for Smart-City Solutions

Nodle may be ideal for smart-city solutions in which real-time updates are of utmost importance. It can also be used to keep track of things, from tools to keys and bags. 2 of the Nodle’s partners are Pawscout, which is used for tracking pets, and Chipolo, which keeps track of the smallest things. At the moment, Nodle runs on the Stellar blockchain.
