Streamity – Secure Decentralized Cryptocurrency Exchange STM ICO?
Choosing the right initial coin offering to invest in can be a difficult and complicated process. The rising price of Bitcoin has lead many new investors to enter the cryptocurrency market, which has, in turn, led to a surge in the number of scams and fraudulent ICOs attempting to capitalize on this wave of new investor money.
In order to succeed, an initial coin offering must present investors with a singular point of difference or an innovative concept that is not already present in the market. In this article, we’ll take a look at the upcoming Streamity ICO, which appears to be a fairly standard cryptocurrency.
We’ll check out the Streamity platform and find out whether it offers anything new to potential investors to help you determine whether it’s worth investing in.
What Is Streamity?
The Streamity project appears to be a multifunctional distributed exchange that provides users with all of the standard features expected from a cryptocurrency. The most interesting aspect of the Streamity project is the fact that it plans to create a completely decentralized means of transferring both cryptocurrencies and currency without the need for a centralized third party.
While cryptocurrencies are a highly effective means of transferring value, the greater part of all crypto trades are currently conducted on centralized exchanges. This creates issues when regulatory bodies intervene, such as in the case of Coinbase in the American states of Wyoming and Hawaii.
In this particular case, Coinbase was unable to fulfill the regulatory obligations required of them by these states to operate, and thus suspended the accounts of all users from these locations until a workaround can be developed. All of these users now have the crypto assets stored on the Coinbase wallet system frozen with no recourse.
The decentralized nature of the Streamity project avoids this issue by allowing users to connect to and trade with each other directly, without the risks involved with traditional centralized exchanges.
The Streamity platform is highly focused on regulatory compliance, and follows Know Your Customer principles. Smart contracts are also a focus of the Streamity development team, as is anonymity. Interestingly, Streamity has taken an approach that minimizes commissions, with commission fees ranging from 0% to 2%.
In addition to providing users with a completely decentralized method of trading and transferring currency, Streamity also offers a comprehensive cryptocurrency database. Streamity.org will provide market analysis, educational materials, and investment tips as well as a range of unique training courses led by industry experts.
The Streamity ICO
The Streamity ecosystem will operate on the Streamity Token, or STM. During the Streamity ICO, 186,000,000 STM will be generated. Each STM will hold a value of $0.2 USD, and can be purchased with BTC, LTC, ETH, ETC, USD, and EUR.
The Streamity pre-ICO is set to launch on the 25th of December 2017, and will run until the 28th of January 2018. 20,000,000 STM will be available during the pre-ICO, with a funding target of $2.8 million USD. The pre-ICO offers a 30% discount/bonus on all token purchases.
The Streamity ICO will launch shortly after, with 100,000,000 STM available for purchase from the 13th of March 2018, running until the 25th of March 2018.
The Streamity project appears to be an earnest attempt at establishing a fully decentralized exchange, and is backed up by a team with significant experience in forward-leaning tech startups. If you’re interested in the future of decentralized exchanges, Streamity is worth considering investing in.
