Telegram Wallet Interface Goes Viral On Youtube As Viewers Question Origins Of TON And GRAM Video
Telegram Wallet Interface Going Viral On Youtube
A recent Youtube video is going viral presumably for showing the interface of the upcoming Telegram wallet. A number of Russian centered crypto forums and sections of the web have gone into a frenzy over the latest development. however, Telegram has not officially confirmed the authenticity of the video.
The Youtube channel created by an anonymous person goes by the name of “Crypto-Pro' and only has a single video uploaded, which is being speculated as the interface for the upcoming Telegram wallet. The Youtube channel only has 6 subscribers, however, the video has gone viral since its upload and has over 6,000 views at the time of writing.
Pavel Durov, Telegram founder has earlier announced his plans of revealing his product to the world in the first quarter of 2019.
Russian News Outlet Deems The Video As A Mere Fantasy
Russian news outlet Kommersant says that the viral video in question is not the original product, but a mere fantasy of someone on how the much-speculated GRAM token wallet would look like. However, many followers of Telegram and its founder Durov believes that the video is authentic, as it contains many signs and symbols usually only noticed during the Durov's conferences or presentation.
One such noticeable feature of the originality is being pointed towards the screenshot from an iOS/Android chat page, which shows the chat name Tyrion Lannister. Another factor which might prove that the video is actually the Telegram interface is the nature of Durov who has long been known for dropping hints in the public domain without linking it to the official launch.
What Does The Video Contain?
The video starts with a QR code suggesting that the app will support QR codes for transactions within the application. The video also suggests that there might be a library feature with loads of options available to the user. The library section is quite intriguing as it features various games which can be bought against the official GRAM token.
The operator in the video clicks on the buy button for one of the games available in the library, which takes the user to a new interface which says, “Telegram Wallet.” When the user is on the confirmation page, it shows a number of details like the wallet address, the physical address and the contact number of the user.
After a few seconds, the screen shows that the transaction of 19 GRAM has been processed to the game developer. After the purchase, the user in the video proceeds to a section called, “Digital Fortress” channel where a few people are conducting a public meeting which is live streamed.
The video also has a GRAM logo at the bottom, suggesting that the users can pay GRAM to the streamer directly from within the Telegram app. The video also suggests that payment can be personalized by adding a private comment and the user can also convert the GRAM into Rubles, Bitcoin or dollar or any other option available in the settings menu.
The authenticity of the video cannot be confirmed as the author of the channel did not respond to the questions put forward by an online website. The owner when contacted asked which news channel is asking the question, to which the platform sent its link and the owner denied to reveal anything, suggesting he wanted a much wider audience to talk about the development.
Whether the video in question is authentic or not, we would only know if either the owner Durov comes out with a statement or the owner of the Youtube channel decides to shed some light on the matter. however, looking at the details in the video and the way Durov operates, it would one hell of the imagination of the video creator, if it's not authentic.
