The adoption rates amongst merchants are growing and Ten X aims to play a big part in ensuring their users can spend cryptocurrencies in their daily activities. The relaunch of the Ten X VISA card will only be offered in Singapore as the company targets to further reach the Asia Pacific region in the coming weeks. The CEO and Founder of Ten X, Toby Hoenisch was thrilled at the relaunch after the long wait by their customers and previous cardholders.

The critics of cryptocurrencies speak on the difficulty of using the digital assets in their day to day activities hence the low adoption rates. However, Ten X is here to change the narrative as they focus on making crypto a global system of payment at any of the 42 million VISA acceptance stores around the world.

While the cards will help local shoppers transact in cryptocurrencies, international travelers will benefit more from the initiative. These travelers will be able to transact across VISA POA without worrying about the hiked exchange rates as they transact using crypto. Furthermore, the travelers are able to withdraw money from any VISA ATM globally giving them freedom over their money at cheap rates.

Since the Ten X wallet launched in 2017 and the debit card months later, the number of Ten X card holders has soared. In their latest report on their performance in 2018, the number of car holders increased 67% year on year basis. One of the cardholders, Matt said,

“The ease with which the cards work is outstanding. Whether I’m buying a burger in Germany or Laksa in Singapore, it’s incredible that I now have the TenX card as an additional payment option. It’s particularly useful when I travel. I don’t need to think twice about exchange rates.”

The company is looking at launching more products to ease the buying of assets around the world. The CEO spoke on the matter saying,

“We are looking into launching more products that enable the transparent use of cryptocurrencies as financial instruments, along with fiat in and out options for people who are not yet familiar with crypto.”
