Piper Moretti Leads in the High Tech Age of Real Estate Empires

The advent of the blockchain has revolutionized the way traditional businesses function. Not fully but in large measured strides, this technology is finding its roots in all and sundry facets of life. From obvious applications in Banking to more nuanced usage in pharmaceuticals, the crypto industry is seeping in fast. Talking about her role in a recent interview Piper said she was encouraged by the scope and opportunity of Crypto,

“I’m personally hearing from buyers and sellers all over the world. There’s often a lot of talks before something actually happens but I’m more than happy to consult, especially if there are a lot of traditional real estate agents that just don’t want to go with this. I’m happy to step in and do a consultation.”

Having seen the process and understood the potential of the blockchain technology as a revolutionary tool in the real estate industry, Piper discussed its advantages. She was most enthusiastic about the reduction in errors in contracts and other legal documents. Other major wins, she opined, were a reduction in escrow time down from up to two months to as little as two weeks, the streamlined identity verification process, and overall improved transparency.

Having said that, she is certainly not naive. She knows from experience, “New problems surface with crypto transactions most agents aren’t equipped to deal with”. Piper warns consumers to be cautious when approaching the use of cryptocurrencies in real estate. While it is certainly true that we are now in the age of a new digital economy, one needs to move slowly and steady, one step at a time to understand how to get involved. She believes everyone needs to do their own research before entering the fray. Some other simple yet handy steps would be:

• Registering on a trusted cryptocurrency exchanges
• Understanding the due process of escrow as it relates to cryptocurrencies.
• Verifying all leads to weed out hackers and “bad apples”.

Piper Moretti believes the cryptocurrency in real estate is the future, and for those who put in the hard yards today and carefully conduct business, will enjoy the windfall later. To this end, along with her own business and the advisory role with blockchain startups, she is an advisor at the Los Angeles Blockchain Lab and a member of the Los Angeles chapter of the International Blockchain Real Estate Association. She is a known speaker at numerous blockchain and real estate conferences and events across the country.
