Ripple’s Latest News: Swell Event, RippleNet Growth and LinkedIn’s Top Startups

It’s clear that Ripple has been working very hard to offer great product and services to different companies around the world. In the latest days and weeks, we have seen how the company has made important progress in different fields, something that can be seen in XRPs price.

The most important things to talk about are related to the Swell Event, RippleNet and its growth and LinkedIn listing Ripple as one of the most important startups.

Ripple Swell will be an event in which several figures from the political, economical and entrepreneurial world will meet to discuss different topics related to payments and cryptocurrencies. This year’s event will feature two important figures, the former president of the United States Bill Clinton, and International Monetary Fund’s Deputy General Counsel, Ross Leckow. Both of them will be discussing about the current global payment system.

RippleNet customers will also be talking there including Santander and other important financial institutions working with Ripple.

At the same time, RippleNet continues to expand and inaugurate new corridors. Max Nivaud, Senior Director, Customer Success at Ripple, explained that the product now reaches 40 countries in six continents. The main customers that he mentions that are using RippleNet are retail customers sending remittances back to their countries.

For example, migrant workers in the United Kingdom sending money back to Southeast Asia. These users tend to search cheaper alternatives to send funds from one country to another. Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are also using these products trying to improve their efficiency and reduce costs.

Ripple has also been selected as one of the top startups in 2018 according to LinkedIn. In the ranking, we find companies such as Lyft, Halo Top Creamery, Coinbase Noodle.ai and Bird. These achievements show that Ripple is growing in every single sense, gathering the best talents from all over the world and building incredible products.

In the near future, Ripple could launch the xRapid product and help other companies send and receive money using the XRP cryptocurrency. The pilot tests were very promising and the company could be launching it during October.
