‘This Is Good For Bitcoin,’ Edward Snowden on US Govt. Filing Lawsuit Against Publishing His Book
The US government has filed a civil lawsuit against Edward Snowden over the publication of his memoir this week.
Snowden, a former CIA employee and National Security Agency (NSA) whistleblower, the suit contents published a book that is
“in violation of the non-disclosure agreements he signed with both CIA and NSA.”
The lawsuit alleges that he published the book without submitting it to the agencies for pre-publication review which is
“in violation of his express obligations under the agreements he signed.”
The suit doesn't seek to block publication but to recover all the proceeds earned.
Snowden’s response to this was “Bitcoin.”

“Hours after the United States government filed a lawsuit seeking to punish the publication of my new memoir, #PermanentRecord, the very book the government does not want you to read just became the #1 best-selling book in the world,”
wrote Snowden on Twitter.
“It is available wherever fine books are sold.”
Snowden is a Bitcoin advocate who earlier this year said, privacy is the most important thing bitcoin is missing right now.
“The lack of privacy is an existential threat to bitcoin. Is the only protection users have from political change,”
