Totient is a technology company that is based out of San Francisco, and they want to promote greater use of the blockchain and cryptocurrency. This desire is perfectly showcased with their recent partnership with VeChain.
The new changes to Totient Capital and Totient Labs primarily have to do with their upcoming ICO. The ICO is in the process of being vetted and funded for release to the public. This change shows how they are truly trying to integrate VeChain as an ecosystem partner, with their adaption of their platform into the needs of Totient.
The three co-founders of Totient have plenty of experience between them. They have worked in industries that handle consulting, business development, security, and even compliance. However, their history with blockchain development is a beneficial skill to have with their gravitation towards crypto platforms. In fact, while some founders were entrepreneurs, while others were involved with Coinbase.
To get ready for the launch, Totient already created the software and standards that will make it easy to adapt to the VeChainThor blockchain. The first technology they plan to launch from their partnership is the VeForge Blockchain Explorer, which helps them view any of the information on the blockchain. The company plans to add advanced network analytics to make the software easier to use. The co-founder of Totient, Kevin Britz, said,
“Much like the internet, there will come a time when everyone is using blockchain technology whether they know it or not, and we think VeChain will be leading this push through consumer and enterprise adoption.”
Totient still has plenty they can contribute to VeChain. Ledger integration, code auditing and bug testing for the Testnet, and other projects are in the works. With the Ledger integration, Totient also is working on the VeForge Web Wallet and the ICO. Sunny Lu, the CEO of VeChain, feels positive about the upcoming changes. She said,
“I have been pleased by the initiative and investment that Totient has showcased in the VeChain Ecosystem. The VeChain Foundation encourages community lead companies to model after Totient. The work they have done has inspired me in many ways and I hope they inspire other qualified value creators to do the same.”
