Touche’s EDDITS ERC75 and ERC735 Allows Biometric Crypto Payments Using a Fingerprint Scan
Touche Facilitates Purchases in Cryptocurrencies Using a Fingerprint Scan
The payment company known as Touche is now facilitating purchases making use of fingerprint scans that are simple. This would allow users to pay for goods and services without having to use a virtual or physic card.
In order to make it possible, Touche has been working with EDDITS, a company that developed the ERC75 and ERC735 smart contracts and allow users to initiate payments using their identity. That works using the ‘touch of two fingers’ on the biometric POS device and that authenticates the fingerprints of the user.
EDDITS and Touche established a payment solution that allows users to pay for things using Ether (ETH). However, everything is simplified since individuals only need to pay with their fingerprints.
Sahba Saint-Clair, co-founder and CEO of Touche, explained that the payment method has been created in order to simplify cryptocurrency transactions related to payment providers. In this way, providers will not have to worry about how they manage their cryptocurrency wallets at the time of the payment.
At the same time, every single payment will be done taking care of the security of each user. Additionally, the payments will be executed with due cryptographic proof.
Although the number of merchants accepting cryptocurrency payments and fingerprint scanning are just a few, in the future the number could continue to grow. Indeed, Touche has announced a partnership with OCBC, the Singaporean Bank. The main intention is to promote technology in the country.
As per the company, the technology necessary to make this possible is already tested and ready to be implemented. The next step is to promote it in the market and allow companies to start using it.
