Tron CEO Justin Sun Offers BTFS As Decentralized Storage Plan Amidst GitHub’s Ban
As previously reported by Bitcoin Exchange Guide [BEG], GitHub currently bans certain countries – that the US have pushed aside – from using its services.
An Iranian software developer named, Hamed Saeedi, was the one to have exposed the rather negative GitHub side, stressing the extent to which the world’s leading software development platform is willing to go to prevent certain individuals from making the most out of their services.
The news spread throughout most social media platforms, to which the CEO of TRON, Justin Sun made a serious proposition reports AMB Crypto.
What grabbed Sun’s attention was a tweet made by CEO and Co-Founder of Blockstack, a decentralized computing platform, Muneeb Ali. As seen in the tweet below, the CEO argues the need for a “decentralized alternative” since GitHub’s ban.
Although the Git protocol is judged as decentralized, what really needs to be decentralized are “login, storage, and social graph on top,” he further highlighted.
After Github’s ban on developers in certain countries a decentralized alternative is inevitable.
Git protocol is already decentralized. All we need is decentralized login, storage, and social graph on top.

Ali has encouraged developers to tackle this concern, mentioning that in order to build a “decentralized GitHub” two things must be considered, and they are:
For developers who want to build a decentralized GitHub, two things:
1) Blockstack gives developers decentralized login & storage as SDKs.
2) Developers have incentives of up to $1M a month through App Mining.

Justin Sun seems to have come across Muneeb’s idea and retweeted it saying that his team would be
“interested in supporting this idea by introducing #BTFS as a decentralized storage plan based on over 1 billion @BitTorrent devices in the world.”
It seems like many Twitter users have criticized Sun for using whatever opportunities he can to simply boost the value of the BTT currency, while others seem uncertain of which platform to go with. Here are some sentiments that have been expressed:
@ChuPhong14
“Justin Sun does not know which way to help his BTT currency to rise up. You are smart, please help BTT traverse the TRX. I believe you can do this!”
@EricGreenhouse
“Hmm […] #BTFS or #Blockstack? [emoji] which one provides more control to user owned data? [emoji] which one could ensure that this GitHub ban could never happen again? [emoji].”

“Spreading fake news as always I see. Gain any followers man?”
