Tron Launches Sun Network Testnet, CEO Promises ‘Unlimited Scaling Capacity’ Developments
Tron, despite being 12th in the list of the largest cryptos, has arguably been the most exciting coin lately. Part of the excitement behind TRX is its superiority in the DApps world, a factor that is responsible for the massive upgrades the company has gone through. In fact, Tron is now the de facto face of DApps in the world.
But with all the traction it has amassed so far, Tron is yet again setting the bar high in the industry. Sun Network, one of the much-awaited add-ons and the one dubbed to change the game altogether in how decentralized internet is propagated is finally here.
Will offer “unlimited scaling capacity” for the mainnet
As Tweeted by Justin Sun on June 11th, Tron’s founder and CEO, Sun Network testnet has been launched. He further made an audacious claim, betting that it would be offer “unlimited scaling capacity” for the mainnet and effectively usher a world of possibilities to DApp developers.
The Sun Network is pegged on an idea of increased community involvement while increasing the rate of transactions made each second, according to the company’s CEO. And so, the company believes that the new network, once it becomes operational, will ultimately leave an enormous impact on the Blockchain industry as a whole.
He said that so far, multiple projects on the platform have registered huge progress, singling out TVM which already has 500 quality DApps, despite being barely seven months old running. TVM was rolled out in October 2018, but is now among the giants of the Tron network.
In total, Tron has three million accounts, all of them accounting for the 410 million secure transactions that have taken place to date. The arrival of the highly energy-economical, super-secure and efficient Sun Network will, therefore, inject the much-needed power to the platform’s successes.
News of the launch of Tron’s Sun Network testnet has understandably elicited excitement in the Tron community. They have a reason to, given that it allows pledging assets whereby they can use the “deposit” functionality to pledge on the side chain. It supports TRX, TRC10, TRC20 smart contract assets as well as TRC721 smart contract assets, which, of course, is great for the community.
DApp Developers need no upgrade
Justin Sun had in the past spoken about the launch, saying that once it arrives, nobody would have to do an upgrade. He had further assured the community that DApps would undergo no change, even if they move to DAppChain.
Meanwhile, the new testnet is getting positive reception from the Tronics. Many are excited, saying that it’s only a matter of time before TRX shoots up further!
