Tron Maintains DApp Dominance as Justin Sun Lets the Cryptoverse Know TRX Rank Over ETH, EOS
There is a lot of attention in the blockchain industry being given to DApps and the platforms that are used to create these DApps. The reason is that the DApps are considered to be the next stage in application development as they are created using platforms and following a technological system that is not what we are used to.
As such, many blockchain firms are vying for dominance in the DApp market and there is a small handful that receives the most attention from the developers with one of those being Tron.
Tron and DApps
Tron in itself has undergone many positive developments in recent times and has once again made the news for its progress in the DDApp market as shown by its most recent start DApp report that revealed that they have taken dominance over their biggest rivals EOS and ethereum.
This was celebrated by Justin Sun, the CEO of Tron, on Twitter.
“There is a slight increase of #DApps on #TRON this week. The number of DApp has increased by 15, reaching 478. DAU has increased by 3000, maintaining at 59000. DApp transaction volumes maintain between 11M and 14M USD. Other data stay stable. #TRX $TRX,” Sun tweeted.
According to the report, the, most dominant DApp on the Tron blockchain was TronBet followed by TronWow and TronTrade. This isn't particularly surprising as it was revealed that gambling apps are the most popular DApps on the blockchain space though it has not been determined just why this is.
Tron has also been divesting into different Industries with their tokens as they have teamed up with Bidali to promote more support for TRX and BTT tokens which are their official tokens and the BitTorrent official respectively.
It was also mentioned that Travala, a popular hotel booking site, has started accepting Tron alongside their roster of popular cryptocurrencies.
They also have reason to celebrate in that their total count of accounts on their blockchain has exceeded three million which goes to show just how popular they are within the DApp space and came hot on the heels of them exceeding 10 million block height which was on the same day as the BitTorrent token AirDrop.
“According to #TRONSCAN, TRON total accounts have reached 3,107,241.
TRON ecosystem has developed rapidly and continues to make efforts to decentralize the web,” Sun tweeted.
DApps and Divestment
Tron has maintained its dominance within the blockchain space and one of the reasons for this is the fact that they divest outside the traditional crypto space. The most prominent of these was there acquiring of BitTorrent, a popular torrenting site a few years ago and developing a native token around it.
The expansion and dominance within the DApp space only help to further secure their place in the future of blockchain.
There is more to the blockchain industry beyond the constant speculation of the often volatile cryptomarkets and their various applications on the mainstream as DApps, according to many, is set to be the standard for the development of applications that will be used worldwide in the future.
