Tron Now Home to Over 600 Dapps as Total Number of TRX Transactions Top 720 Million

The Tron Foundation has announced that its TRX token has jumped a position in the cryptocurrency ranking of CoinMarketCap and that it is now the 11th largest token of the market. In the last 24 hours, the price of the token went up by 2.75%, quite a lot in a time in which Bitcoin is not doing so well.

At the moment, the Tron Foundation also affirmed that Tron has 601 decentralized applications (dapps) at the moment, meaning that the number of 600 dapps has finally been surpassed. Now, Tron has only a bit fewer dapps than EOS, which currently has 627 of them.

Together with this announcement, the CEO of the Tron Foundation, Justin Sun, affirmed that the latest report of the Tron Foundation has counted that Tron has now reached over 720 million transactions and it has 1,104 nodes at the moment. Also, the network has around 36,000 new users at the moment, making the total number above 3,770,000 people.

Tron also has the highest total volume of trade when compared to Ethereum and EOS. The network has a volume of over $78 million USD, while EOS has $46 million and ETH has only $38 million.

One of the most important news, however, is that the Odyssey version 3.6.5 was also released during the week, along with a new compiler for smart contracts, the version 0.5.8.

The ongoing developments for the ecosystem include the addition of the BLS signature to the API of the system, the TVM optimization mode, a regression test of module core and more.
