TRON Registers A Record Of 1 Million Addresses In Six Months After Its Mainnet Launch
TRON (TRX), one of the largest and most popular blockchain platforms and virtual currencies, has now more than one million addresses. This data is provided by Tron Scan. The record was registered on December 23 with 1.001.620 addresses created on the network.
Misha Lederman, the co-founder of IAmDecentralized.org shared the information through social media. He compared TRON and Ethereum (ETH) and how they reached 1 million accounts each of them. He said that TRON reached 1 million accounts 184 days since Mainnet launch. Ethereum, instead, reached 1 million accounts 542 days since its Mainnet was launched.
Both TRON and Ethereum are two networks that aim at becoming an ecosystem for developers and crypto projects to develop their products. Both networks feature decentralized applications (dApps) and allow companies to base their project on top of their networks.
Some people criticized Lederman because Ethereum was able to build an important amount of users when the interest for virtual currencies was much lower than it is now. Thus, TRON found an easier market with better conditions where to operate, even after a bear market in 2018.
Other metrics on the TRON network are also showing very good results. TRON has also registered between 1.8 million and 3.3 million transactions per day. Back on December 13, TRON addresses were 815,000 now they are more than 1,056,800. This represents an increase of almost 30% in just a few weeks.
At the time of writing this article, TRON is the 10th largest virtual currency in the market. It has a market capitalization of $1.34 billion and each coin can be purchased around $0.02, according to CoinMarketCap. However, it remains far from Ethereum that is the third largest cryptocurrency and has a market cap of $13.57 billion.
