Tron Sees TRX Blockchain Network Grow To Over 400,000 Registered Accounts
The famous virtual currency network Tron continues to expand in a very competitive virtual currency market. On September 26, the network has surpassed 400,000 registered accounts.
At the moment, there are exactly 408,623 accounts, 893 online nodes, and the network has registered 245,124 transactions in the last 24 hours. On September 14, the number of addresses was much smaller: 345,6772. That represents an increase of 18% in just 12 days.
This is quite important since some time ago, the number of accounts on the Tron network surpassed those of the EOS network. Currently, EOS has 334,987 accounts, meaning that Tron has 21% more accounts than the EOS network. It is important to remember that Justin Sun, Tron Foundation founder, said that by September 2018, Tron was going to surpass EOS network accounts.
At the same time, the number of transactions has been increasing for Tron since the launching of its MainNet. At the beginning of September, Tron’s daily transactions reached their all time high with 440,135 trx processed.
Tron has also launched the so called Tron Virtual Machine (TVM) back on August 30. At that time, the Foundation said that the TVM was going to surpass Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). The TVM is compatible with the EVM but it is 1000x faster.
As we wrote in a previous article, Justin Sun asked Ethereum developers to move to Tron since Tron it is much faster than Ethereum and is able to handle more transactions per second (TPS). According to Afri Schoedon, developer at Ethereum, the network is not able to handle more decentralized applications.
Each Tron (TRX) coin can be bought for $0.021 dollars and has a market cap of $1.42 billion dollars.
