Tron Successfully Completes TRX Airdrop Before the Main Net Launch

Founder of Tron, Justin Sun, announced on May the 7th, that their TRX airdrop has been completed. On April the 21st, Tron started a 30 million token airdrop to thank the Ethereum community. The information has been released in a blog post weeks before the Main Net launch scheduled for May the 31st.

Tron Massive Airdrop Arrived to an End

Those ETH accounts that were active after January the 1st, and had at least 1 ETH, they may have received between 10 and 100 TRX. The main intention behind the airdrop was to show gratitude to Ethereum for providing the ERC-20 support to the TRX token before launching its mainnet.

The post uploaded by Tron Labs, reads as follows:

“The TRX airdrop to the Ethereum community has been successfully completed. On April 21, 2018 (UTC+8), in order to appreciate Ethereum for its previous assistance to Tron official Token, TRX in ERC20 stage and meanwhile TRON mainnet will also be launched, in the super representative election stage, TRON Foundation decide to conduct 30 million TRX airdrop targeting the Ethereum community.”

Due to some fraudulent activity in the social networks – specially in Twitter – the TRON Foundation made it clear that they will not be asking Ethereum users for any token or address for the TRX airdrop. Users that experience these situations should immediately report these illicit accounts and block them.

In the past, Justin Sun exchanged some words with Vitalik Buterin saying that Tron was a much better network than Ethereum.

It will be important to follow Tron’s mainnet launch and analyses its future path to see whether or not it will be able to challenge Ethereum’s network supremacy.
